Cozy up with this easy sausage, cabbage, and apple bake—a comforting, homey dish that’s perfect for warming up a chilly night.

Ingredients

    Sausage & Cabbage
  • 2 lbs. (1 kg) fresh Polish sausage or bratwurst (about 10 links)
  • 1   apple, wedged (see cook’s tip)
  • 1   small head cabbage (about 2 lbs./1 kg)
  • 1½ cups (375 mL) apple juice
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Three Onion Rub
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter, melted
    Sauce
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) maple syrup
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Three Onion Rub
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) apple juice

Directions

  1. Set the Deluxe Air Fryer & Oven to SYNC FINISH. Set the bottom compartment to ROAST for 1 hour. Set the top compartment to CUSTOM and adjust the temperature to 425°F (220°C) and the time to 30 minutes. Press START.
  2. Arrange the sausage links and apples (overlapping slightly) on a foil-lined Air Fryer Rack.
  3. Cut the cabbage into quarters and remove the core. Chop the cabbage into large chunks and place in the Small Oven Baking Pan.
  4. Combine the apple juice, mustard, syrup, rub, and butter in a small bowl and drizzle over the cabbage.
  5. When the display says, “Add Food,” place the sausage in the top compartment and the cabbage in the bottom compartment (on the Wire Rack). Press START.
  6. Stir the cabbage halfway through cooking and again in the last 15 minutes.
  7. Transfer the cabbage to a serving platter and top with the sausage and apples.
  8. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and serve on the side.
