Bagel Bombs
Stuffed bagel bombs bake up golden, crispy, and melty inside. A bite-size bagel snack that’s perfect for parties, game day, or cozy cravings.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg Bagel Mix
- 8 oz. (250 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) Garden Vegetable Dip Mix
- 4 qts. (3.8 L) water
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) brown sugar
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) baking soda
- Optional: Everything Bagel Seasoning
Directions
- Prepare the bagel mix according to the package directions.
- While the dough is rising, combine the cream cheese with the dip mix. Scoop into 1-tbsp (15-mL) balls and place on a parchment-lined sheet pan (you should have 16 balls). Place into the freezer to harden while the bagels rise.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Bring the water to a boil and add the brown sugar and baking soda. Bring to a rolling boil.
- Divide the bagel dough into 16 portions. Flatten each piece slightly and place the chilled cream cheese ball in the center. Wrap the dough around the cream cheese and pinch the seam to seal.
- Boil the bites for 1–2 minutes, then move to a cooling rack. Sprinkle with seasoning, if you’d like, then place on a parchment-lined sheet pan.
- Bake for 20–22 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool for 10–15 minutes before eating (the inside will be hot!).
Yield:
- 4 servings
Cook's Tips:
For a sweet version, use Honey-Walnut Blend instead of the dip mix and top with Cinnamon Toast Blend.
