Black Truffle Steak Frites

Steak & fries feels fancy, but it’s simple enough for a weeknight meal!

Ingredients

    Steak
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) oil
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Black Truffle & Herb Seasoning Mix
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) salt
  • 2   boneless New York strip steaks, about 1–1½ lbs. (450–680 g)
    Parmesan Truffle Butter
  • ¼ oz. (10 g) Parmesan cheese, finely grated (2 tbsp/30 mL), plus additional for topping
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) parsley, finely chopped, plus additional for topping
  • ½ tsp (5 mL) Black Truffle & Herb Seasoning Mix
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Truffle Finishing Oil
  • 1/4  oz (10 g) Parmesan cheese, finely grated (2 tbsp/30 mL), plus additional for topping
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) parsley, finely chopped, plus additional for topping
  • 1/2 tsp (5 mL) Black Truffle & Herb Seasoning Mix
    Sauce
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Truffle Finishing Oil
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Black Truffle & Herb Seasoning Mix

Directions

  1. Toss the potatoes with the oil and seasoning mix in a medium bowl. Add to the Deluxe Air Fryer & Oven Air Fryer Rack.
  2. Set the Deluxe Air Fryer & Oven to Heat & Crisp. Adjust the temperature to 375°F (190°C) with high fan and set the time to 20 minutes.
  3. When the display says, “Add Food,” place the rack in the oven. Press start. Rotate the rack halfway through cooking. When the fries are finished, toss with the Truffle Oil.
  4. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with the seasoning mix and salt.
  5. Preheat a 4.5 qt. (4.3 L) Stainless Steel Saute Pan over high heat for 3 minutes. Sear the steak until golden brown on both sides and medium doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Combine the butter, Truffle Oil, Parmesan, parsley, and ½ tsp (2 mL) of the seasoning mix in a small bowl; set aside.
  7. For the sauce, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, Truffle Oil, and seasoning mix in a small bowl.
  8. Remove the steak and rest for 5–10 minutes, before slicing. Top the steak with a scoop of the butter and serve with the fries and sauce. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan and parsley, if you’d like.
