Decorating Icing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) vegetable shortening
  • 3 cups (750 mL) icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) corn syrup
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) milk

Directions

  1. Beat butter and shortening in Classic Batter Bowl on medium speed of electric mixer until creamy.

  2. Gradually add icing sugar; beat until smooth.

  3. Add corn syrup and milk; beat until smooth.

Yield:

  • 2 cups (500 mL)
