Ways to Use

  • To achieve perfectly flaky pie crust, everything needs to be kept very cold when making the crust. Try putting the mixing bowl in the freezer before preparing the dough and make sure the butter and water are very cold.
  • You can substitute shortening for butter, if you’d like.
  • Pair with the Stone Pie Plate or Half Pie Pan & Server Set.
  • Great for hand pies, tarts, quiches, mini quiches, crackers, pie fries (or chips), and breakfast pastries!
  • To freeze leftover dough for later use, up to two months, press the dough into a disk shape and wrap tightly. Defrost in the refrigerator before using as directed in your recipe.
  • To make dough in the Deluxe Stand Mixer, add the mix to the bowl of the stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment and start on 1 custom. Add the cubed butter slowly and process until pea sized pieces form. Add the water slowly and mix until the dough begins to come together (do not over mix). Remove from the bowl and place on plastic wrap. Press the dough into a flat disk, wrap, and chill for at least 1 hour.
