- Hand wash; rinse and towel dry immediately. Do not scour pans with an abrasive cleanser or scouring pad. Allow pans to cool completely before cleaning.
- Prepare pans according to cake mix or recipe.
- Preheat oven, reducing suggested recipe temperature by 25°F (15°C) (darker pans require slightly lower temperatures). NOTE: All Pampered Chef® recipes, using these pans, reflect the temperature reduction.
- Pour batter into pans filling ½ to ⅔ full and spread, or lightly tap pans against counter to level out batter. Bake as recipe directs. Remove from oven; cool 5-10 minutes.
- Remove cakes from pans; cool completely on cooling rack.
- To remove cakes from pans, place cooling rack on top of cake pan. Holding pan and cooling rack together flip pan over and carefully lift upward. Repeat for each cake. Allow cakes to cool completely prior to stacking.
- To ensure cake layers lay flat when stacking, "crown" cakes by using Serrated Bread Knife to trim any visible mound from top of cake.
- Be creative; add color to white cake batter using different colors of food coloring.
