FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Q: What materials is this product made of?
A: The outside parts are made of ABS plastic. Each insert is made of glass-filled nylon and the water tank is made of SAN plastic.
Q: How long does it take to make a cup of coffee?
A: It takes about 1-2 minutes depending on the size of the cup and if the bold button was selected.
Q: How do I move the Deluxe Coffee Machine?
A: You can move the Deluxe Coffee Machine by holding onto the bottom of it. When transporting it, don't hold it by the top of the water tank.
Q: Why did my Deluxe Coffee Machine pause?
A: The Deluxe Coffee Machine will pause briefly when the bold button is pushed to allow the water to create bolder flavor.
Q: Why don't all the size options appear when I make coffee?
A: The Deluxe Coffee Machine only offers the size options that will taste best with the insert you choose.
Q: Why are there scratch marks on the top of my inserts?
A: There are scratch marks because the inserts were added incorrectly. You can prevent scratching on your inserts by making sure the handle of the Deluxe Coffee Machine is fully up before inserting or removing an insert. Make sure each pod is fully punctured and the insert is fully closed.
Q: Why is my Deluxe Coffee Machine loud?
A: The sound the Deluxe Coffee Machine makes is consistent with the type of pump it uses. This is similar to other stand-alone coffee/espresso makers on the market.
Q: Why is my Deluxe Coffee Machine still dripping after the coffee is done?
A: Slight drippage after your beverage is done brewing is normal. Some water may remain in the insert. We recommend using a paper towel or kitchen towel to remove the insert. Don't remove an insert while it's still hot.
Q: Can I use the Deluxe Coffee Machine to make cold brew coffee?
A: No, but you can brew hot, fresh coffee and serve it over ice.
Q: Can you program the Deluxe Coffee Machine to brew coffee at a specific time?
A: No.
Q: Does the Deluxe Coffee Machine have a temperature setting?
A: No, but but it does have a bold button to add a stronger, more potent flavor to your coffee.
Q: Why did my Deluxe Coffee Machine arrive wet?
A: When unboxing the coffee machine, there may be a little water present from our quality checks. This is normal.

- Read, understand, follow, and save all Safety and Use Instructions to avoid injury.
WARNING
- 1. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following. Read all the instructions. Do not touch hot surfaces.
- 2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they DO NOT play with the appliance.
- 3. Choking Hazard. This product contains small parts which may constitute a choking or suffocation risk for small children. Adult supervision required.
- 4. DO NOT leave the appliance unattended when in use.
- 5. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

- 10. To unplug, press and hold the power button to turn off, then grasp the plug and pull it from the outlet. DO NOT pull from the power cord.
- 11. DO NOT use the appliance in a place of high temperature (above 125°F or 52°C), strong magnetic field, or humid environment.
- 12. Only operate and store the appliance above 40°F (5°C).
- 13. DO NOT operate the unit on an unstable or wet surface. Always operate the appliance on a stable, non-combustible, level surface.

- 21. When using the K-Cup® Pod insert, this machine will not work with pods that have a plastic top or any other top that is not Keurig®-approved. Doing so may prevent the insert needles from piercing the pod correctly.
- 22. When using the Nespresso® Pod insert, this machine will not work with plastic espresso coffee pods. Doing so may prevent the insert needles from piercing the pod correctly.
- 23. While brewing coffee, the temperature of some parts get very high. DO NOT touch those parts directly. Only touch the top lever and display.
- 24. DO NOT let the cord touch hot surfaces.
- 25. When in use, DO NOT place the unit against a wall or against other appliances. Leave at least 6" (15 cm) of free space on the back and sides of the unit. DO NOT operate the unit on or near materials such as tablecloths, towels, and curtains. DO NOT place anything on top of the unit.
- 26. Keep the unit and cord away from children. Never drape the cord over the edge of a counter, never use an outlet below the counter, and never use with a power strip or extension cord. DO NOT let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch hot surfaces.

SAFEGUARDS
- 1. Never cover the air vents. Doing so may cause overheating and damage the unit. See illustration 1.
- 2. This appliance is for household use only; it is not intended for commercial use. To ensure this machine runs effectively, do not use it to continuously brew. DO NOT let it run for longer than 2 minutes and let it rest for a while otherwise the flowrate and flavor will be affected.
- 3. Only fill the water tank with clean, cool water. Never fill the water tank with mineral or carbonated water, milk, or other liquid.
- 4. DO NOT fill the water tank while unit is plugged in.
- 5. DO NOT fill the water tank while it is attached to the Deluxe Coffee Machine.
- 6. DO NOT let the coffee machine operate without water.
- 7. When using Nespresso® and K-Cup® Pods make sure they’re seated fully in the insert and the insert is seated properly in the machine. See Use & Care instructions below. See illustration 2.
- 8. Only use the appliance with one pod and one insert at a time.
- 9. Be aware of K-Cup® or Nespresso® needle(s) in the K-Cup® Pod/Nespresso® Pod insert. Keep your hands and body parts away from the needle.
- 10. DO NOT lift the unit by the handle on the water tank, top lever, or drip tray. Always lift the unit from the bottom.
- 11. Check the drip tray daily for liquid in the tray.
- 12. Clean after each use. Refer to the Cleaning section for proper maintenance.
- 13. Never connect this unit to an external timer switch or separate remote-control system.
- 14. The unit should be placed so any steam does not vent directly onto the kitchen cabinets. Steam may damage cabinets.

- 2. Use only with a 120V 60Hz power outlet with a minimum power rating of 15A. Failure to follow can result in electrical shock, fire, or other serious injury.
- 3. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the coffee machine.
- 4. To protect against electric shock DO NOT immerse cord, plugs or base unit in water or other liquid.
- 5. Inspect the cord and unit for damage before each use.

Always turn the appliance off by pressing and holding the Power Button and unplugging the appliance from the power outlet. Allow it to cool down before cleaning.
- • For best results, clean the inserts after each use. Check the needles on pod inserts and the machine for coffee grounds. If needed, use a clean, straightened paperclip to clean to ensure the needles are not clogged.
- • For the best flavor, use a new Keurig®-approved original K-Cup® Pod or Nespresso® original Pod, or ground coffee for each cup made. DO NOT reuse pods or ground coffee for multiple cups. • To clean the base of the Deluxe Coffee Machine, wipe it clean with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth. DO NOT use household/ commercial cleaners or scouring pads. DO NOT immerse it in water.
- • The water tank, water tank lid, drip tray, drip tray plate, and inserts are dishwasher-safe when placed away from the heating element.
- • Let all the parts dry thoroughly before using and storing.
- • To store inserts, press in the door of insert storage. See illustration 3. Then, slide the inserts into the rest spots. See illustration 4. Close the door by pressing the door again. Note: K-Cup® Pod insert bottom cup can be removed and placed inside K-Cup® Pod insert for storage.
USE AND CARE
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- • Remove all the packaging. Make sure all the parts are present and accounted for.
- • Read all the instructions in this document.
- • Clean all the parts. See the Cleaning section for instructions.

Filling the Water Tank:
- 1. Hold the unit with one hand and lift the water tank upwards with the other hand to remove it from the side of the coffee machine. This will prevent the unit from moving and tilting. See illustration 5.
- 2. Fill the water tank with clean, cool water to the maximum fill line as indicated on the water tank. See illustration 6.
- 3. Align the notch on the water tank with the right side of the coffee machine, then press down to secure it. See illustration 7.
Placing the Drip Tray:
- 1. Place the drip tray plate on top of the drip tray. It should sit flush on the drip tray. See illustration 8.
- 2. Choose which slots to use:
- • The highest is recommended for espresso cups.
- • The middle is recommended for mugs.
- • The bottom is recommended for tall mugs and travel mugs.
- • Note: For extra-tall mugs, remove the drip tray.
- 3. Insert the two notches of the drip tray into the top of the slots on the coffee machine and lower it down slightly until the drip tray rests in place. See illustration 9.
- 4. To remove the drip tray, make sure there is no mug on it and any liquid inside has cooled. Holding at the bottom, lift the drip tray slightly toward the top of the slots on the coffee machine and remove them from the machine. DO NOT tilt the machine back or angle it to remove the drip tray. See illustration 10.
CAUTION: Make sure the drip tray is securely inserted into the slots before placing any cups or mugs. DO NOT use the drip tray to hold hot water or coffee besides holding the mugs for brewing. The drip tray can’t withstand high temperature continuously.
Initial Test Run
- 1. Make sure there is water in the water tank. If not, follow the steps in the Filling the Water Tank section.
- 2. Plug the power cord into a 120V power source and press the power button to turn the Deluxe Coffee Machine on.
- 3. Make sure the drip tray is in place. If not, follow the steps in the Placing the Drip Tray section.
- 4. Place a mug on the drip tray plate. Make sure the mug is large enough to hold 8 oz. (250 mL).
- 5. Lift the top lever of the coffee machine. Insert the ground coffee insert (empty, with no coffee) into the cavity beneath the top lever with the words facing outward and close the arm. See warnings below.
- 6. Press the scroll button until 8 oz. flashes.
- 7. Press start.
- 8. When brewing is done, the unit will chime and the power/start button will flash.
- 9. To remove the insert, allow the insert to cool for several minutes. Then, lift the top lever and slide the insert out.
WARNING: Insert and components will be hot after brewing.
Note: If no insert or water tank is in the coffee machine or the top lever isn’t closed, the power/start button will flash.

Note: Never force the arm close. If the arm doesn’t close, redo step 5 and try inserting it again. WARNING: Keep your hands away from the piercing needle in the coffee machine. K-Cup® Pod Insert:
- 1. Make sure there is water in the water tank. If not, follow the steps in the Filling the Water Tank section.
- 2. Plug the power cord into a 120V power source and press the power button to turn the Deluxe Coffee Machine on.
- 3. Make sure the drip tray is in place. If not, follow the steps in the Placing the Drip Tray section.
- 4. Place a mug on the drip tray plate. Make sure the mug is large enough to hold the drink size you will be selecting.
- 5. To add the K-Cup® Pod insert bottom cup to the K-Cup® Pod insert, place the bottom cup on the insert and twist until it’s secured into place. See illustration 11. Note: Always use the bottom cup for best possible coffee dispensing results.
- 6. Open the top of the insert. Place a Keurig®-approved original K-Cup® Pod in the insert and close the top to press it down and pierce the pod. See illustration 12. Be sure the top and bottom of the insert are flush. See illustration 13. WARNING: Keep hands away from the piercing needle in insert and in coffee machine. See warnings below.
- 7. Lift the top lever of the coffee machine. Insert the K-Cup® Pod insert into the cavity beneath the top lever with the words facing outward and close the top lever. Note: Never force the top lever close. If the top lever will not close, redo step 6 and try inserting again. See warnings below.
- 8. The 6 oz. (175 mL), 8 oz. (250 mL), 10 oz. (300 mL), and 12 oz. (350 mL) size options will illuminate. To select the beverage size, press the scroll button until the desired size flashes.
- 9. Press start.
- 10. When brewing is done, the unit will chime, and the power/start button will flash.
- 11. To remove the insert, allow the insert to cool for several minutes. Then, lift the top lever and slide the insert out. WARNING: The insert and components will be hot after brewing.
- 12. To remove the K-Cup® Pod, allow the insert to cool. Then, open the top of the insert and pull the pod out of the insert. Note: There may be some water remaining in the insert and/or pod.
- 13. To remove the K-Cup® Pod insert bottom cup from the K-Cup® Pod insert, twist and remove. Place the bottom cup inside of insert for storage.

WARNING: Keep hands away from the piercing needle in insert and in coffee machine. See warnings below.
- 6. Lift the top lever of the coffee machine. Insert the Nespresso® Pod insert into the cavity beneath the arm with the words facing outward and close the top lever. Note: Never force the top lever close. If the top lever will not close, redo step 5 and try inserting again. See warnings below.
- 7. The 2 oz. (60 mL), 4 oz. (125 mL), and 6 oz. (175 mL) size options will illuminate. To select the beverage size, press the scroll button until the desired size flashes.
- 8. Press start.
- 9. When brewing is done, the unit will chime, and the start/power button will flash.
- 10. To remove the insert, allow it to cool then lift the arm and slide the insert out. WARNING: Insert and components will be hot after brewing.

- 3. Make sure the drip tray is in place. If not following the steps in the Placing the Drip Tray section.
- 4. Place a mug on the drip tray plate. Make sure the mug is large enough to hold the drink size you’re selecting.
- 5. Open the top of the insert with the words facing away from you. Place the metal filter in the insert and slide it to the right to secure it in place using the “unlock” and “lock” icons as a guide. See illustration 17. If using a paper filter, place the paper filter into the metal filter at this time. Fill the filter(s) with approximately 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of ground coffee. Make sure the lid of the insert can be closed completely after filling it with ground coffee without tampering. Close the top of the insert and be sure the top and bottom of the insert are flush. See illustration 18.
- 6. Lift the top lever of the coffee machine. Insert the ground coffee insert into the cavity beneath the top lever with the words facing outward and close the top lever. Note: Never force the top lever close. If the top lever will not close, redo step 5 and try inserting again. WARNING: Keep hands away from the piercing needle in insert and in coffee machine. See warnings below.
- 7. The 6 oz. (175 mL), 8 oz. (250 mL), 10 oz. (300 mL), and 12 oz. (350 mL) size options will illuminate. To select the beverage size, press the scroll button until the desired size flashes.

- 10. To remove the insert, allow insert to cool then lift the arm and slide the insert out. WARNING: Insert and components will be hot after brewing.
- 11. To remove the Ground Coffee Filter(s), allow the insert to cool. Then, open the top of the ground coffee insert with the words facing away from you and slide the metal filter to the left using the “unlock” and “lock” icons as a guide. Then, pull the metal filter out. If using the paper filter, remove the paper filter filled with coffee grounds and throw away. If not using the paper filter, remove grounds from metal filter. See illustration 19. Note: There may be some water remaining in the insert.
WARNING
Note: Never force the arm close. If the arm doesn’t close, redo step 5 and try inserting it again. WARNING: Keep your hands away from the piercing needle in the coffee machine. Brewing Coffee Bold Button: To make any of the selections stronger, press the bold button before pressing start to brew. Pause: To pause a brewing cycle, press the start/ power button. The drink size will illuminate. To restart the brewing cycle, press the start/power button again.
Note: The coffee machine will also pause if the top lever or water tank are lifted during a brew cycle. We DO NOT recommend lifting the top lever or removing the water tank during a brew cycle.Cancel: To cancel a brew cycle completely, press and hold the start/power button for 1 second. Low Water Indicator: If the water tank drops below the minimum fill line during a brew cycle, the coffee machine will pause. Remove the tank from the unit. Then, refill the tank and place it back on the unit (See the “Filling the Water Tank” section). Once the water tank is in place, press the start/ power button to resume the brew cycle. High Altitude: - • To activate the “High Altitude” setting, press and hold the scroll button for 3 seconds. The high-altitude icon will illuminate.
- • To deactivate the “High Altitude” setting, press and hold the scroll button again for 3 seconds. The high-altitude icon will turn off.
Removing Mineral Deposits (Descaling) With regular use, minerals may accumulate in the coffee machine which can affect the temperature and strength of your brew. For best results, descale it regularly to keep minerals deposits from building up. When needed, the descale button illuminates to remind you to descale your coffee machine.
Note: If the descale light is not illuminated and you wish to descale, insert the empty ground coffee insert and press and hold the Bold button for 3 seconds and the descale option will illuminate.
- 1. Combine cleaner and water as directed on descaling solution instructions.
- 2. Make sure the ground coffee insert is in place and empty (no coffee or paper filter in insert).
- 3. Fill the water tank to the maximum line with the cleaning mixture.
- 4. Place a large container beneath the drip nozzle. Remove the drip tray from the coffee machine.
- 5. Using the scrolling button, scroll through the options until the descale button is flashing. Press start. Note: The coffee machine may pause dispensing during this process to allow the cleaning solution to clean the internal components.
- 6. After the cleaning mixture dispenses, discard the cleaning mixture and replace the container beneath the drip nozzle.
- 7. Wash the water tank, water tank lid, ground coffee insert, and ground coffee filter with soap and water. Fill the water tank to the maximum line with cool, clean water.
- 8. Replace filled water tank and ground coffee insert. Press start.
- 9. After the all the water in the tank dispenses, discard the water in your container and wash the container and insert.
WARNING
- • Contents and parts will be hot following descaling because hot water is used for descaling. To avoid risk of scalding personal injury and/or property damage, the container being used to catch water being dispensed must be large enough to hold the entire contents of the water tank (1.8qt/ 1.7L). Note: We recommend a 3-qt. (2.8-L) bowl.
TROUBLESHOOTING:

Q: What materials is this product made of?
A: The outside parts are made of ABS plastic. Each insert is made of glass-filled nylon and the water tank is made of SAN plastic.
Q: How long does it take to make a cup of coffee?
A: It takes about 1-2 minutes depending on the size of the cup and if the bold button was selected.
Q: How do I move the Deluxe Coffee Machine?
A: You can move the Deluxe Coffee Machine by holding onto the bottom of it. When transporting it, don't hold it by the top of the water tank.
Q: Why did my Deluxe Coffee Machine pause?
A: The Deluxe Coffee Machine will pause briefly when the bold button is pushed to allow the water to create bolder flavor.
Q: Why don't all the size options appear when I make coffee?
A: The Deluxe Coffee Machine only offers the size options that will taste best with the insert you choose.
Q: Why are there scratch marks on the top of my inserts?
A: There are scratch marks because the inserts were added incorrectly. You can prevent scratching on your inserts by making sure the handle of the Deluxe Coffee Machine is fully up before inserting or removing an insert. Make sure each pod is fully punctured and the insert is fully closed.
Q: Why is my Deluxe Coffee Machine loud?
A: The sound the Deluxe Coffee Machine makes is consistent with the type of pump it uses. This is similar to other stand-alone coffee/espresso makers on the market.
Q: Why is my Deluxe Coffee Machine still dripping after the coffee is done?
A: Slight drippage after your beverage is done brewing is normal. Some water may remain in the insert. We recommend using a paper towel or kitchen towel to remove the insert. Don't remove an insert while it's still hot.
Q: Can I use the Deluxe Coffee Machine to make cold brew coffee?
A: No, but you can brew hot, fresh coffee and serve it over ice.

SAFEGUARDS

Always turn the appliance off by pressing and holding the Power Button and unplugging the appliance from the power outlet. Allow it to cool down before cleaning.
- • For best results, clean the inserts after each use. Check the needles on pod inserts and the machine for coffee grounds. If needed, use a clean, straightened paperclip to clean to ensure the needles are not clogged.
- • For the best flavor, use a new Keurig®-approved original K-Cup® Pod or Nespresso® original Pod, or ground coffee for each cup made. DO NOT reuse pods or ground coffee for multiple cups. • To clean the base of the Deluxe Coffee Machine, wipe it clean with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth. DO NOT use household/ commercial cleaners or scouring pads. DO NOT immerse it in water.
- • The water tank, water tank lid, drip tray, drip tray plate, and inserts are dishwasher-safe when placed away from the heating element.
- • Let all the parts dry thoroughly before using and storing.
- • To store inserts, press in the door of insert storage. See illustration 3. Then, slide the inserts into the rest spots. See illustration 4. Close the door by pressing the door again. Note: K-Cup® Pod insert bottom cup can be removed and placed inside K-Cup® Pod insert for storage.
USE AND CARE
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- • Remove all the packaging. Make sure all the parts are present and accounted for.
- • Read all the instructions in this document.
- • Clean all the parts. See the Cleaning section for instructions.

Filling the Water Tank:
- 1. Hold the unit with one hand and lift the water tank upwards with the other hand to remove it from the side of the coffee machine. This will prevent the unit from moving and tilting. See illustration 5.
- 2. Fill the water tank with clean, cool water to the maximum fill line as indicated on the water tank. See illustration 6.
- 3. Align the notch on the water tank with the right side of the coffee machine, then press down to secure it. See illustration 7.
Placing the Drip Tray:
- 1. Place the drip tray plate on top of the drip tray. It should sit flush on the drip tray. See illustration 8.
- 2. Choose which slots to use:
- • The highest is recommended for espresso cups.
- • The middle is recommended for mugs.
- • The bottom is recommended for tall mugs and travel mugs.
- • Note: For extra-tall mugs, remove the drip tray.
- 3. Insert the two notches of the drip tray into the top of the slots on the coffee machine and lower it down slightly until the drip tray rests in place. See illustration 9.
- 4. To remove the drip tray, make sure there is no mug on it and any liquid inside has cooled. Holding at the bottom, lift the drip tray slightly toward the top of the slots on the coffee machine and remove them from the machine. DO NOT tilt the machine back or angle it to remove the drip tray. See illustration 10.
CAUTION: Make sure the drip tray is securely inserted into the slots before placing any cups or mugs. DO NOT use the drip tray to hold hot water or coffee besides holding the mugs for brewing. The drip tray can’t withstand high temperature continuously.
Initial Test Run
- 1. Make sure there is water in the water tank. If not, follow the steps in the Filling the Water Tank section.
- 2. Plug the power cord into a 120V power source and press the power button to turn the Deluxe Coffee Machine on.
- 3. Make sure the drip tray is in place. If not, follow the steps in the Placing the Drip Tray section.
- 4. Place a mug on the drip tray plate. Make sure the mug is large enough to hold 8 oz. (250 mL).
- 5. Lift the top lever of the coffee machine. Insert the ground coffee insert (empty, with no coffee) into the cavity beneath the top lever with the words facing outward and close the arm. See warnings below.
- 6. Press the scroll button until 8 oz. flashes.
- 7. Press start.
- 8. When brewing is done, the unit will chime and the power/start button will flash.
- 9. To remove the insert, allow the insert to cool for several minutes. Then, lift the top lever and slide the insert out.
WARNING: Insert and components will be hot after brewing.
Note: If no insert or water tank is in the coffee machine or the top lever isn’t closed, the power/start button will flash.

- 7. Lift the top lever of the coffee machine. Insert the K-Cup® Pod insert into the cavity beneath the top lever with the words facing outward and close the top lever. Note: Never force the top lever close. If the top lever will not close, redo step 6 and try inserting again. See warnings below.
- 8. The 6 oz. (175 mL), 8 oz. (250 mL), 10 oz. (300 mL), and 12 oz. (350 mL) size options will illuminate. To select the beverage size, press the scroll button until the desired size flashes.
- 9. Press start.

- 4. Place a mug on the drip tray plate. Make sure the mug is large enough to hold the drink size you’re selecting.
- 5. Open the top of the insert with the words facing away from you. Place the metal filter in the insert and slide it to the right to secure it in place using the “unlock” and “lock” icons as a guide. See illustration 17. If using a paper filter, place the paper filter into the metal filter at this time. Fill the filter(s) with approximately 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of ground coffee. Make sure the lid of the insert can be closed completely after filling it with ground coffee without tampering. Close the top of the insert and be sure the top and bottom of the insert are flush. See illustration 18.
- 6. Lift the top lever of the coffee machine. Insert the ground coffee insert into the cavity beneath the top lever with the words facing outward and close the top lever. Note: Never force the top lever close. If the top lever will not close, redo step 5 and try inserting again. WARNING: Keep hands away from the piercing needle in insert and in coffee machine. See warnings below.
- 7. The 6 oz. (175 mL), 8 oz. (250 mL), 10 oz. (300 mL), and 12 oz. (350 mL) size options will illuminate. To select the beverage size, press the scroll button until the desired size flashes.
- 8. Press start.
- 9. When brewing is done, the unit will chime, and the start/power button will flash.
- 10. To remove the insert, allow insert to cool then lift the arm and slide the insert out. WARNING: Insert and components will be hot after brewing.
- 11. To remove the Ground Coffee Filter(s), allow the insert to cool. Then, open the top of the ground coffee insert with the words facing away from you and slide the metal filter to the left using the “unlock” and “lock” icons as a guide. Then, pull the metal filter out. If using the paper filter, remove the paper filter filled with coffee grounds and throw away. If not using the paper filter, remove grounds from metal filter. See illustration 19. Note: There may be some water remaining in the insert.
WARNING
Note: Never force the arm close. If the arm doesn’t close, redo step 5 and try inserting it again. WARNING: Keep your hands away from the piercing needle in the coffee machine. Brewing Coffee Bold Button: To make any of the selections stronger, press the bold button before pressing start to brew. Pause: To pause a brewing cycle, press the start/ power button. The drink size will illuminate. To restart the brewing cycle, press the start/power button again.
Note: The coffee machine will also pause if the top lever or water tank are lifted during a brew cycle. We DO NOT recommend lifting the top lever or removing the water tank during a brew cycle.Cancel: To cancel a brew cycle completely, press and hold the start/power button for 1 second. Low Water Indicator: If the water tank drops below the minimum fill line during a brew cycle, the coffee machine will pause. Remove the tank from the unit. Then, refill the tank and place it back on the unit (See the “Filling the Water Tank” section). Once the water tank is in place, press the start/ power button to resume the brew cycle. High Altitude: - • To activate the “High Altitude” setting, press and hold the scroll button for 3 seconds. The high-altitude icon will illuminate.
- • To deactivate the “High Altitude” setting, press and hold the scroll button again for 3 seconds. The high-altitude icon will turn off.
Removing Mineral Deposits (Descaling) With regular use, minerals may accumulate in the coffee machine which can affect the temperature and strength of your brew. For best results, descale it regularly to keep minerals deposits from building up. When needed, the descale button illuminates to remind you to descale your coffee machine.
Note: If the descale light is not illuminated and you wish to descale, insert the empty ground coffee insert and press and hold the Bold button for 3 seconds and the descale option will illuminate.
- 1. Combine cleaner and water as directed on descaling solution instructions.
- 2. Make sure the ground coffee insert is in place and empty (no coffee or paper filter in insert).
- 3. Fill the water tank to the maximum line with the cleaning mixture.
- 4. Place a large container beneath the drip nozzle. Remove the drip tray from the coffee machine.
- 5. Using the scrolling button, scroll through the options until the descale button is flashing. Press start. Note: The coffee machine may pause dispensing during this process to allow the cleaning solution to clean the internal components.
- 6. After the cleaning mixture dispenses, discard the cleaning mixture and replace the container beneath the drip nozzle.
- 7. Wash the water tank, water tank lid, ground coffee insert, and ground coffee filter with soap and water. Fill the water tank to the maximum line with cool, clean water.
- 8. Replace filled water tank and ground coffee insert. Press start.
- 9. After the all the water in the tank dispenses, discard the water in your container and wash the container and insert.
WARNING
- • Contents and parts will be hot following descaling because hot water is used for descaling. To avoid risk of scalding personal injury and/or property damage, the container being used to catch water being dispensed must be large enough to hold the entire contents of the water tank (1.8qt/ 1.7L). Note: We recommend a 3-qt. (2.8-L) bowl.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
