General
With the Deluxe Multi Cooker, you can pressure cook, sous vide, slow cook, make yogurt, sterilize, sear, and proof bread—all with one appliance. It has tons of safety features: The steam-release valve is positioned away from the steam-release button, so your hands are away from hot steam. Plus, the body was designed to stay cool even when food is cooking. The carrying handles let you securely move or store the Deluxe Multi Cooker when it’s not in use. The Deluxe Multi Cooker also has an On/Off switch, cord storage, a unique section of functions, and two lid rests.
The 16 programs are: Custom, Egg, Poultry, Beef/Pork, Seafood, White Rice, Whole Grains, Soup, Beans, Dessert, Steam, Sterilize, Sear, Slow Cook, Sous Vide, and Yogurt.
Each program is preset with the appropriate pressure level and ideal cook time for that food. If you’re following a recipe that uses that setting but requires a different cook time, you can adjust the time. Once you choose a program, you can’t adjust the pressure. If you need to use a different pressure setting, use the Custom function and select both your time and pressure setting.
The initial test run helps you get familiar with your Deluxe Multi Cooker and ensures that it’s performing at its best before you start cooking.
There are three easy recipes on p. 10 and p. 11 of the Cooking Guide. Try making Easy-to-Peel Hard-Boiled Eggs, Sous Vide Carrots, or Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta before you try full recipes.

Operating Functions
It ranges from 5.8 PSI to 10.15 PSI.
As soon as you press start, the Deluxe Multi Cooker will start coming up to pressure, unless you have selected delayed start. The more food you put into the inner pot, the longer it will take to preheat. On the LCD display, there’s a Circle Indicator that shows the progress of preheating. On average, it takes about 15 minutes to preheat.
Press the Selector Wheel and Cancel together for 2 seconds to get to another screen and scroll to adjust these settings.
This lets you postpone the cooking start time.
You can delay start for up to 24 hours. Keep food safety in mind when you use delayed start, as meat, fish, and other perishable foods may spoil or cause illness if they’re kept for too long at room temperature.
Keep food safety in mind when you use delayed start, as meat, fish, and other perishable foods may spoil or cause illness if they’re kept for too long at room temperature. Keep in mind, the delay time is the time it will take for the Deluxe Multi Cooker to start the cooking cycle and does not include the amount of time it will take to initially heat up the food or release pressure. You can’t use Delay Start with the Sear, Egg, Sous Vide, Yogurt, and Sterilize programs.
No. To make adjustments, you’ll have to cancel your current cooking cycle and start another with your adjusted settings.
Press the Cancel button.
Press the Cancel button and toggle the On/Off switch to Off. Then, remove the plug from the wall outlet. Always unplug the Deluxe Multi Cooker when it’s not in use and before cleaning.

Cooking
At least 1 cup (250 mL) of liquid must be added. Pampered Chef–approved recipe may require more. Sauces and salsa have high water content that may be included in the overall liquid amount for the recipe. To use the Sterilize setting, use 2 cups (500 mL) of water.
Pampered Chef recipes indicate with setting to use. For other recipes, follow the setting noted in the recipe or refer to the chart under “How to Use Menu Settings” in the Use and Care to determine the best setting for your recipe.
It ranges from 5.8 PSI to 10.15 PSI.
Natural release occurs when the cooking cycle is complete. The Deluxe Multi Cooker will naturally depressurize as it cools. You’ll still need to press the steam-release button to release any remaining pressure before opening the lid.
Manual release occurs when you press the steam-release button to release pressure right after cooking is complete. But use caution, as the steam will be hot when released. Keep everything away from this vent when releasing.
No. The pressure level is only for pressure cooking.
Low is recommended for sweating vegetables to soften and gently draw out their flavors. Med is recommended for pan searing and sauteing. High is recommended for stir-frying and browning meat.
The default is 20 minutes. Maximum time is 1 hour.
No. You’ll get the best results if you sear with the lid off, just like you would on the stovetop.
The default setting is 4 hours for High and 8 hours for Low, and can be adjusted to cook for up to 10 hours. The Deluxe Multi Cooker will automatically switch to Keep Warm mode after the cook time is up, unless this function has been manually turned off.
The Slow Cook program keeps the food just under a simmer, not building up pressure, and operates like a typical slow cooker on HIGH for the High setting and LOW for the Low setting.
You’ll know that the cooking cycle is complete and warming has begun when the Circle Indicator on the LCD display shows WARMING. The timer will count the minutes it has been warming.
Once the Deluxe Multi Cooker is in Keep Warm mode, WARMING will show on the LCD display. The timer will count the minutes it has been warming.
The maximum time the Deluxe Multi Cooker will stay in Keep Warm mode is 4 hours. After 4 hours, it will go into Standby mode. Foods like rice may overcook or burn on the bottom if they’re in Keep Warm mode for too long.
For the pressure cooking at sea level: At high pressure, about 237°F (114°C) and at low pressure 228°F (109°C).
Here’s how:
• To put the lid on, place the lid offset on top of the base and twist clockwise. If you have trouble closing the lid, the pressure indicator maybe stuck. Reposition the pressure indicator and try to close the lid again. Or the silicone ring is not installed properly. Reposition the silicone ring and try to close the lid again.
• To remove the lid, press the steam-release button to ensure all pressure has been released. Twist the lid counterclockwise and lift up to remove. If the lid is ever difficult to remove, assume that the unit is still pressurized and do not force the lid open. If the pressure indicator is stuck, contact us at (888) 687-2433 (U.S.) or (800) 342-2433 (Canada) for assistance.
There should not be steam leaking from the side of the lid. Some possible reasons include:
• Either the silicone ring is not in place or is improperly installed. Ensure the unit is depressurized before removing the lid. Replace or reinstall the silicone ring.
• There is food debris attached to the silicone ring. Clean the silicone ring and then reinstall properly.
• The silicone ring is damaged. These are available as replacement parts.
• Back-to-back uses have caused the silicone ring to expand. Remove the silicone ring from the lid and place it in ice water for a few minutes. Drain and pat dry before replacing.
It’s normal for some steam to leak through the pressure indicator until the cooker comes up to pressure. If there is excessive steam while coming to pressure or while under pressure, end the current cooking cycle, ensure the unit is fully depressurized, unplug the Deluxe Multi Cooker, and check the following:
• For food debris on the pressure indicator seal, clean it and reinstall properly.
• The pressure indicator seal could be worn out. Replace the pressure indicator seal which is available as a replacement part.
• The lid is not fully closed. Reposition and fully close it.
Ensure the unit is depressurized, then check the following:
• The steam-release valve is not in the sealed position. Reposition to ensure it is fully seated.
• The steam-release valve is not sealing. Disassemble and clean the steam-release valve. Place back and ensure it is properly seated.
If none of the above work, the electronic pressure control system may be malfunctioning. Cease use and unplug the unit. Contact the Solution Center at (888) 687-2433 (U.S.) or (800) 342-2433 (Canada) for assistance.
It might be because:
• There isn’t enough water. Make sure there’s at least 1 cup (250 mL) of liquid in the inner pot. To finish cooking, you can rotate the Menu Knob to Sear and simmer until the food reaches your desired doneness. Adjust your recipe the next time you make it.
• The lid was opened prematurely. After the cooking cycle completes, leave the lid on for 5 minutes.
Your food was in the Deluxe Multi Cooker for too long. Adjust the cooking time the next time you make this recipe.
The Sterilize program can be used for most plastics, ceramic, silicone, metal, and glass items. To prevent breaking and shattering, do not put glass in cold water or on a cold surface after removing from the unit. Metals like carbon steel and aluminum may oxidize. These materials should have a surface treatment or finish to protect raw material. Do not let them sit in water. When sterilizing plastic, make sure the plastic being used can safely reach high temperatures.
Yes! You can still make these recipes in the Deluxe Multi Cooker:
• You can proof bread on the Medium Yogurt setting.
• Use the Whole Grains setting or Custom in place of the Brown Rice setting.
• Use the Soup setting or Custom in place of the Chili/ Stew setting.
Here’s the difference:
• Low is 91°F (33°C)
• Medium is 98°F (37°C)
• High is 105°F (40°C)
Please select the setting your recipe calls for.
Sous Vide
Food is sealed in an airtight bag and is placed in a temperature-controlled water bath to cook slowly and gently. The result: Every part of the food—inside and out, top to bottom—cooks to the same temperature and texture.
Yes! Here are a few tips:
• Store-bought resealable freezer bags are sturdier than storage bags. You can also use reusable silicone bags or vacuum-sealed bags.
• Place the food in a single layer in the bag, so everything cooks evenly.
• Remove the air from the bag before sealing. You can either press on the bag with your forearm to expel the air, or you can lower the bag into a pot of water and the water pressure will push the air out.
• To cook, fully submerge the bag leaving the seal outside of the water. If it floats, you can clip a binder clip to the bottom of the bag and place a heavy spoon into the clip opening. Or you can place the wire rack on top of the bag and add pie weights or heavy spoons if needed.
• After removing the cooked meat from the bag, place it on a paper-towel lined plate and pat dry on both sides. For better flavor, color, and texture, quickly sear right before serving.
• The food will reach the set temperature at the minimum cook time from our Cooking Guide Sous Vide Chart and hold that temp in the water bath without overcooking until the maximum cook time, so dinner is ready when you are!
Here are a few things to know:
• Preheating the water takes about 35 minutes, so this is a good time to prep and marinade.
• All Pampered Chef recipes use fresh or completely thawed foods, not frozen. Our cooking times are not accurate for frozen foods.
• Use garlic powder instead of raw garlic for two reasons: taste and safety. With this slower cooking method, raw garlic can turn bitter, and in rare cases, can become unsafe to eat.
• Most meat can remain in the water bath after reaching the set temperature without overcooking for up to two hours, so you have plenty of wiggle room for serving.
• We recommend cooking all food at or above 130°F (54.5°C), searing proteins after cooking, and chilling food immediately after cooking when storing.
Searing gives the food extra flavor, color, and texture.
The unit will release steam every 5 minutes during the Sous Vide setting to prevent building pressure. To turn off the venting beep reminders, during the cooking cycle, press and hold the knob for 2 seconds. To stop the venting cycles when using a glass lid, during the cooking cycle, press the steam release button for 2 seconds.
Components
The Deluxe Multi Cooker comes with the base, lid, and wire rack.
No. Only the authorized accessories sold by Pampered Chef can be used with the Deluxe Multi Cooker. Using accessory attachments with the Deluxe Multi Cooker that are not authorized by Pampered Chef may cause injuries. Any authorized accessory that has been damaged in any manner should not be used.
This can be caused by exposure to high heat, cooking starchy food like rice or pasta, or from cleaning detergent. This is common for stainless steel cookware and is safe to cook with. To remove stains, use a food-safe stainless-steel cleaner according to the package directions or add 1 cup (250 mL) of white vinegar to the inner pot and scrub the affected area with a sponge.
Yes, this is normal. You can periodically remove the valve for cleaning. It will also fit a little loosely, which is completely normal.
The steam-release valve cover is the square component with 6 holes on the underside of the lid. The cover keeps food particles from blocking the steam-release valve or handle.
No, unless necessary for cleaning.
The wire rack is used on the bottom of the inner pot to steam vegetables or to elevate the approved accessories, or items being sterilized above the liquid.
The wire rack is stainless steel. It has a 6" (15-cm) diameter and is 2" (5 cm) tall.
The silicone ring passes UL, FDA, and LFGB tests for safety, including food safety. The silicone ring is a crucial part of the Deluxe Multi Cooker’s safety features. It was designed, engineered, and built with the best possible materials, so it can withstand high pressure during cooking. Only use Pampered Chef’s silicone rings.
The silicone ring is made from food-grade silicone, which can pick up food odors during cooking. To minimize the odor, try the following:
1. Wash the silicone ring after each use.
2. Steam clean your Deluxe Multi Cooker. Place 2 cups (500 mL) of distilled white vinegar or water and 1 lemon rind in the inner pot and cook on the Steam setting for 2 minutes.
You may want to have one silicone ring for savory foods and another for sweet foods.
If you let the Deluxe Multi Cooker cool naturally, there may be a little condensation, but it’s still clean. You can hand wash the lid and put the silicone ring in the dishwasher. If there are any odors on the lid, follow the steam cleaning instructions noted for the silicone ring. And always inspect the steam-release valve and cover to ensure there is no residue.
If you use manual release (letting steam out from pressing the steam-release button) or cook sticky foods, you may need to remove the steam-release valve and cover for cleaning. Always wait for the Deluxe Multi Cooker to cool before cleaning. After cleaning, replace both pieces. You may also want to pull the steam release handle out and the sealing ring for cleaning.
Always inspect the pressure indicator to make sure it can move up and down easily without obstruction. Please note, the pressure indicator on the Deluxe Multi Cooker is not removable.
After every use.
The silicone ring is made from silicone rubber, which is more durable than rubber. It should be fine for 2–3 years with normal use. If you notice cracks, leaking, or deformation, you should replace it immediately. This replacement part number is RP1017.
Safety
There are multiple safety features, including:
• Electronic pressure and temperature monitoring
• Backup pressure regulator
• Excessive pressure protection
• Auto-locking lid when under pressure
• Sensor that ensures lid is properly locked before cooking
• Anti-blockage vent
• Power protection against short-circuits
• Stay-cool lid
• Safe-carry handles
• Pressure-release button located away from the steam release valve
You need to add at least 1 cup (250 mL) of liquid unless the Pampered Chef-approved recipe states otherwise. Sauces and salsa have high water content that may be included in the overall liquid amount for the recipe. We recommend using 2 cups (500 mL) of water with the Sterilize setting.
There are two potential reasons:
1. There’s not enough food or water in the inner pot. Add more food or water according to your recipe.
2. Steam is leaking out of one of the seals. Check that all the seals are clean and damage-free, and have been properly assembled.
In general, never fill the unit over MAX level (⅔ full). For foods that expand during cooking like rice or dried vegetables, do not fill above the halfway point. Overfilling may clog the steam-release valve cover and develop excess pressure. Reference the “How to Use Menu Settings” in the Use and Care for specific food instructions.
Additionally, bread cannot be baked in the Deluxe Multi Cooker; however, you can use it to proof dough.
Once cooking is complete, there will be 3 beeps and the cooker will switch to Keep Warm mode. A count-up time will appear on the LCD display. Either manually release the steam or let it naturally release for 10 minutes, then press the steam-release button. Once all the steam has been released, the pressure indicator will drop below the surface of the lid and you can open the lid.
Note: DO NOT open the lid if the pressure indicator has not dropped. DO NOT open the lid if it is locked and cannot be opened. Never force the lid open.
During pressure buildup and cooking, the cooker may make low clicking sounds. It’s just the heating element switching on and off and is totally normal.
As the pressure builds inside the Deluxe Multi Cooker, the lid needs room to rise. The gap lets the lid open and close smoothly without getting caught.
Do not place the unit on or near a gas or electric burner, or inside a heated oven.
Only authorized accessories sold by Pampered Chef can be used with the Deluxe Multi Cooker. Using unauthorized accessories with the Deluxe Multi Cooker may cause injuries. Any authorized accessory that has been damaged in any manner should not be used.
This is normal and may occur during the first few uses. Just wipe it off with a damp towel.
Start by referencing the troubleshooting guide in the Use and Care. If this doesn’t solve the issue, contact our Solution Center at (888) 687-2433 (U.S.) or (800) 342-2433 (Canada) for assistance.
