Use & Care
Use & Care
- Wash prior to first use; hand wash only. Do not dishwash. Do not clean with an abrasive cleaner or scouring pad, as this will damage the surface. Allow pans to cool completely before cleaning.
TO USE WITH CAKE MIXES:
- Preheat oven, reducing suggested recipe temperature by 25°F (4°C). Darker pans require slightly lower temperature. Note: All Pampered Chef® recipes using this pan reflect the temperature reduction.
- Grease per package directions; if using nonstick spray, wipe away excess spray with a paper towel to prevent oil buildup on pan.
- Pour batter into pans to line and spread or lightly tap pans against counter to level out batter. If there is remaining batter after filling each pan to the fill line, then divide remaining batter between pans. Note: the fill line is used as a guide, as the yield of standard cake mixes can range from 4–5 cups (1–1.25 L) of batter.
- Place pans on cookie sheet and space evenly. This provides easier transfer in and out of the oven.
- Bake time will vary based on type of cake mix package. To avoid over baking, check doneness at 20 minutes. If not done, continue to bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven; cool 10 minutes. Always use a heat-resistant oven mitt or pad when handling hot pans.
- To release, cover cooling rack with parchment paper; place covered rack on top of pan and invert.
- Cool completely on cooling rack.
- To ensure cake layers lay flat when stacking, “crown” cakes by using a serrated knife to trim any visible mound from top of cake.
SAFEGUARDS
- Hot pan can cause burns if handled improperly. Always use a heat-resistant oven mitt or pad when handling hot pan or placing on surfaces.
- Pan is conventional- and convection-oven safe up to 450°F (230°C). Pan is not broiler-, freezer or microwave-safe.
- Extreme temperature change will cause warping. Always allow pans to cool to room temperature prior to adding liquid or cleaning.
- Do not use pan on a glass or ceramic cooktop, electric coil, gas burner range, induction (magnetic) range, or an outdoor grill.
- Use of metal utensils on surface will cause scratching.
GUARANTEE
- Three-year guarantee for noncommercial use. Refer to sales receipt for details.
