Simple Vinaigrette & Variations

Delicious on its own, as a base for our vinaigrettes, or your own creations! 

Ingredients

  • ½ cup + 2 tbsp (155 mL) white wine vinegar
  • ¾ cup + 2 tbsp (205 mL) olive oil
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) honey
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) salt
  • ¼ tsp (1 mL) black pepper
Variations Ingredients
Asian Vinaigrette
  • ¼ cup + 2 tbsp (90 mL) rice vinegar
  • ¾ cup (175 mL) vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) sesame oil
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) honey
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp (1 mL) black pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
Balsamic Vinaigrette
  • ½ cup + 2 tbsp (155 mL) balsamic vinegar
  • ¾ cup + 2 tbsp (205 mL) olive oil
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) honey
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) salt
  • ¼ tsp (1 mL) black pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients to the Measure, Mix & Pour®, twist on the lid, and shake until combined.

Yield:

  • 1½ cups (375 mL)
      servings

Cook's Tips:

These dressings can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

When making the Simple Vinaigrette, you can substitute any vinegar you prefer.

You can substitute ¼ tsp (1 mL) garlic powder for fresh garlic in the Asian Vinaigrette and Balsamic Vinaigrette recipes.

Shake dressing well before serving.
