Easter Egg Cake

This sweet treat is so easy to make in the Small Batter Bowl!


  • 1 pkg (15.25-16.5 oz or 510 g) cake mix, any flavor (plus ingredients to make cake)
  • 1 can (16 oz or 450 g) prepared frosting
  •  nonstick cooking spray
  •  food coloring (optional)


  1. This sweet treat is even easier to make in the Small Batter Bowl. Mix up your favorite packaged cake mix according to its directions. Coat the bowl with nonstick cooking spray, then pour in half the batter. Bake at 350°F (176 for 35 - 40 minutes. Invert onto the Stackable Cooling Rack and cool completely. Evenly trim the cake’s wide end and cut the cake in half lengthwise. “Glue” the wide ends together with prepared frosting. Place on a serving platter and decorate.

    Tip: Use the leftover batter to make a second cake or make six mini cakes in Prep Bowls! Adjust the bake time to 20 – 25 minutes.
