Korean BBQ Sliders
Korean side dishes loaded atop a Korean-spiced slider equal heaven on a bun.
Ingredients
- Korean Ketchup
- ½ cup (125 mL) ketchup
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) gochujang
- Korean BBQ Burgers
- 1 lb (450 g) 80% lean ground beef
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) Korean Barbecue Rub
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 8 slider buns
- ½ cup (125 mL) kimchi
- 1 recipe Korean Kale Salad
- 1 recipe Korean Potato Salad
Directions
Preheat the Indoor Outdoor Portable Grill to medium heat. Combine the ketchup and gochujang in a small mixing bowl and stir to combine.
Combine the ground beef and Korean Barbecue Rub in a medium bowl; mix gently until thoroughly combined. Place the insert into the base of the Burger & Slider Press; lightly spray the base and press with nonstick cooking spray. Using the Medium Scoop, place two scoops of the beef mixture into the base of the press and form into patties. Repeat with the remaining beef.
Place the burgers on the grill and cook uncovered for 6–8 minutes, turning once, or until the meat's internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C) for medium doneness.
To serve, spread 2 tsp (10 mL) of the Korean ketchup on each of the buns. Top each bun with the slider, kimchi, kale salad, and serve with the potato salad.

Cook's Tips:
Gochujang is a fermented hot pepper paste similar to Sriracha sauce. You can find bottles or small rectangular tubs in most grocery stores—either by the condiments (like ketchup) or in the Asian section.
