Flavored Buttercream Frosting
Here are 3 variations of buttercream frostings that help take the stress out of baking with the Deluxe Stand Mixer!
Ingredients
- Vanilla Buttercream
- ¾ cup (175 mL) butter, softened (1 ½ sticks)
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
- ⅛ tsp (0.5 mL) salt
- 3 cups (750 mL) powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) milk
- Chocolate Buttercream
- ¾ cup (175 mL) butter, softened (1½ sticks)
- ½ cup (125 mL) cocoa powder
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
- ⅛ tsp (0.5 mL) salt
- 3 cups (750 mL) powdered sugar
- ¼ cup (60 mL) milk
- ¼ tsp (0.5 mL) espresso powder (optional)
- Strawberry Buttercream
- ¾ cup (175 mL) butter, softened (1 1/2 sticks)
- 3 cups (750 mL) powdered sugar
- ¼ cup (60 mL) strawberry jam
- ½ tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
- ⅛ tsp (0.5 mL) salt
Directions
- Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of the Deluxe Stand Mixer. Select CREAM for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Press START.
- Transfer to a piping bag or spread with an offset spatula to frost cupcakes, cakes or other baked goods.
